Jupiter In Profile

NASA's Juno spacecraft began studying Jupiter and some of the Jovian System moons in 2016, and is still in orbit around Jupiter as of early 2026, conducting an extended mission that has included close flybys of moons Io and Europa. While its primary mission ended in 2021, the probe continues to study Jupiter’s atmosphere, magnetic field, and ring system.
