The Point Cabrillo Lighthouse is a beautiful little structure on a rugged headlands near Caspar, between Fort Bragg and Mendocino Village. When Cyan Art Studio founder Shane Powers first moved to the Mendocino Coast in 2020, he rented a room on the front side of the old Caspar Inn, a famous (sometimes infamous) old roadhouse restaurant and inn with a distinguished history of big-name music acts, going back to the late 1800s. From that 2nd story front room, the flash of the Point Cabrillo lighthouse bathed his room with a consistency that he found comforting in a new place.
